Analysts are suggesting that the next generation Playstation console, the PS3 could carry a price tag as high as $500.
"[Sony] could now consider launching its PlayStation 3 at a price range of $399 to $499, with the $499 price point more likely," said P.J. McNealy from American Technology Research.
It has also been suggested that the standard price for games for the PS3 will be $60 or more.
